Description

You will develop and maintain mainframe solutions that interface with existing systems based on user requirements.

Responsibilities

• Analyze end-user data needs to design systems, interfaces, and programs.
• Code, test, implement, and debug computer programs within the mainframe environment.
• Coordinate system implementation and document all design changes.
• Execute unit testing and evaluate interrelationships between programs to address potential bugs.
• Provide on-call support and problem resolution for mainframe system applications.

Required Skills

• 7 to 10 years of experience in Mainframe development.
• Proficiency in COBOL, VSAM, CICS, and Assembler programming.
• 5 to 8 years of programming knowledge specifically with CSC’s (PMS) Policy Management System Series II.
• Solid understanding of IBM’s z/OS operating system and VSAM file structures.
• Proven technical leadership abilities including task and small project coordination.
• Experience within the P&C insurance industry.
• Ability to provide technical support for mainframe system automation initiatives.
