Description

You will manage mainframe software system development, including enhancements, maintenance, and upgrades, while providing break/fix support and documentation.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Execute quality assurance and testing for all code changes.
• Manage software system development for upgrades and maintenance.
• Provide coaching and knowledge transfer to support personnel regarding system functions.
• Develop maintenance documentation for code changes and resolutions.

Required Skills

• Senior-level COBOL programming experience, including upgrading versions and managing compiler changes.
• Proficiency in JAVA programming on the mainframe.
• Experience with DB2 for z/OS, including making schema changes.
• Proficiency with VSAM data manipulation using IDCAMS.
• Experience with Sort, Syncsort, and ICETOOL.
• Knowledge of CICS environments for maintenance and updates.
• Proficiency in REXX development.
• Experience using PanValeet for version control.
• Ability to use Easytrieve reporting software to manipulate data connected to DB2 and PSDs.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with complex mainframe system migrations.
