Description

You will serve as a Subject Matter Expert responsible for the design, development, and technical support of mainframe technology.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test mainframe applications while managing the full product lifecycle to ensure operational availability.
• Establish and document mainframe language directions, development tool roadmaps, and technology strategies.
• Coordinate cross-departmental projects involving mainframe application migrations and infrastructure planning.
• Analyze capacity and performance data to guide future infrastructure requirements.
• Evaluate vendor proposals, conduct build-versus-buy analyses, and manage project plans from implementation through testing.

Required Skills

• Expert knowledge of Mainframe Operating Systems and Hardware.
• Deep proficiency in Mainframe Assembler.
• Hands-on experience with DB2.
• Experience with TSO and VSAM (Virtual Storage Access Method).
• Strong application design and development skills within the mainframe domain.
• Ability to manage software change management solutions and productivity tools.
• Proven experience in real-time transaction processing.

Preferred Skills

• Technical degree or equivalent professional work experience.
