Description

You will design, develop, and enhance functionality within the Customer/1 (C/1) application, supporting utility billing and customer processes.

Responsibilities

• Implement business and regulatory requirements using standard mainframe development practices.
• Perform impact analysis and code changes for customer setup, billing calculations, invoicing, and adjustments.
• Provide L2/L3 production support, analyzing batch and online processing issues including billing-critical failures.
• Support testing phases (unit, system, UAT) and production releases while maintaining technical documentation.
• Participate in root cause analysis to implement long-term fixes for production issues.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience as a mainframe application developer or senior support developer.
• Hands-on development experience with COBOL, JCL, CICS, and/or IMS.
• Experience with DB2 on z/OS.
• Proven track record supporting Customer Information Systems (CIS) in a utility environment.
• Experience supporting batch and online processing in production environments.
• Understanding of bill-critical batch cycles and production schedules.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Preferred Skills

• Prior experience with Customer/1 (C/1) or similar utility CIS platforms.
• Strong understanding of utility billing and customer processes.
