Description

You will modernize legacy mainframe systems by integrating them with distributed cloud-native applications. You will bridge the gap between COBOL/DB2 environments and modern Java/AWS services.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, CICS, and DB2.
• Integrate legacy systems with distributed services via REST APIs using XML and JSON.
• Collaborate with distributed engineering teams to support modernization efforts.
• Participate in code reviews and document technical solutions.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of mainframe development experience.
• Deep expertise in COBOL and DB2.
• Proficiency with JCL, CICS, and VSAM.
• Experience integrating REST APIs with XML/JSON.
• Exposure to Java and AWS for distributed system integration.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
