Mainframe Developer

You will provide critical systems and business support for a global mainframe technology stack.

Responsibilities

• Support critical mainframe environments to ensure high availability and client satisfaction.
• Debug and reproduce complex issues within lower pre-production environments.
• Perform mainframe performance tuning and capacity planning to reduce I/Os, CPU Time, MSUs, and MIPs.
• Develop comprehensive documentation for multiple applications and subsystems.
• Collaborate with business unit stakeholders to resolve problems and design solutions.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of hands-on experience with mainframe platforms.
• Proficiency with COBOL, DB2, CICS, JCL, MQ-Series, SQL, and VSAM files.
• Experience using EasyTrieve, File-AID, Endeavor, Intertest, and Abend-AID.
• Experience with job scheduling using Control-M.
• Proven ability to use Strobe, iStrobe, or Platinum Detector for performance tuning.
• Experience navigating Oracle database environments for triage purposes.
• Strong analytical skills with a methodical approach to problem resolution.
• Ability to work with significant autonomy and minimal direction.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of ETL, Informatica, Java, or Python.
• Business knowledge of Stock Plan Services (SPS).
