Description

Develop, debug, and maintain mainframe applications within a large corporate environment. Own the full software development lifecycle, from design to operational stability.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test applications using IBM-Z/OS COBOL, CICS, IMS DB/DC, and DB2.
• Manage application development and release processes using Changeman or Endevor suites.
• Implement agile methodologies, including CI/CD pipelines, application resiliency, and security protocols.
• Utilize VSAM, JCL, and CA7 for system management and batch processing.
• Maintain code integrity and operational stability across large-scale enterprise systems.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of hands-on experience in system design and mainframe application development.
• Proficiency in IBM-Z/OS COBOL programming.
• Expertise in CICS, IMS DB/DC, and DB2.
• Strong command of VSAM, JCL, and CA7.
• Experience with Changeman or Endevor mainframe application development suites.
• Practical experience with IBM WebSphere MQ messaging solutions.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent graduate level education.

Preferred Skills

• Experience creating APIs using z/OS Connect and Kafka integration.
• Working knowledge of AWS and cloud technologies.
