Description

You will develop and maintain mission-critical banking applications on the mainframe.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL.
• Utilize IMS/DB and IMS/DC for data management and transaction processing.
• Create and support online applications using CICS.
• Manage batch job scheduling and execution with JCL scripts.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues and performance bottlenecks.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in mainframe development.
• Strong proficiency in COBOL programming.
• In-depth knowledge of the z/OS mainframe operating system.
• Expertise in IMS database technologies, including IMS/DB and IMS/DC.
• Extensive experience in CICS for transaction processing.
• Advanced skills in Job Control Language (JCL).
• Basic understanding of mainframe system administration, including dataset management and security protocols.

Preferred Skills

• Prior experience working with financial services or banking applications.
• Knowledge of Agile or hybrid SDLC methodologies.
