Description

You will develop, maintain, and optimize mainframe applications using COBOL, Assembler, and related languages.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Create, modify, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, Assembler, or other relevant languages.
• Ensure efficient operation of central processing systems, handling updates and enhancements.
• Perform unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting for software applications.
• Collaborate with business analysts, system engineers, and developers to align solutions with requirements.
• Optimize applications for speed and efficiency through performance tuning.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in Mainframe Application Development.
• Strong proficiency in COBOL, JCL, and SQL.
• Experience with CICS, DB2, VSAM, and z/OS environments.
• Proficiency in ISPF and Mainframe Utilities.
• Knowledge of Unix Shell Scripting and text processing tools.
• Understanding of Assembler and System Z administration.
• Familiarity with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and batch/online processing.
• Ability to create and maintain technical specifications and documentation.
