Description

You will design, code, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2, IMS, CICS, VSAM, and IBM MQ.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support batch and online processes, including job streams, transaction systems, and message-driven programs.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Participate in the full SDLC, including design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
• Troubleshoot application issues, perform root cause analysis, and plan corrective actions.
• Optimize mainframe code and database access for performance and scalability.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with COBOL and JCL.
• Strong proficiency in DB2 and IMS DB/DC.
• Experience with CICS, VSAM, and IBM MQ.
• Understanding of DevOps practices within a mainframe environment.
• Ability to maintain accurate technical documentation.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience supporting production jobs and on-call troubleshooting.
• Collaboration with system analysts, QA testers, and infrastructure teams.
