Description

You will develop and modernize core systems within the mainframe environment, handling legacy migration and production support.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements for Mainframe Modernization and Legacy Migration efforts.
• Develop solutions using COBOL, JCL, DB2, IMS, and MQ technologies.
• Execute on-prem to on-prem, cloud to Azure, and Microfocus migrations.
• Triage and resolve production issues using standard mainframe tools.
• Document requirements and participate in the full Product Development Life Cycle within an Agile framework.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of experience in Mainframe and Java Modernization.
• Expertise in COBOL, IMS, DB2, JCL, and VSAM.
• Proficiency in Python for automation and problem statement development.
• Experience with CICS and MQ.
• Proven experience in Legacy Migration (LMCOE) engagements.
• Understanding of the Product Development Life Cycle and Business Requirement Specification documentation.
• Experience migrating systems to Azure or Microfocus environments.

Preferred Skills

• Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively across organizational boundaries.
