Description

You will develop, test, and support mainframe applications in a local office environment.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Analyze complex code to extract business rules and translate requirements into technical specifications.
• Design, code, unit test, and implement system changes throughout the full development lifecycle.
• Execute unit test scenarios to ensure code quality and reliability.
• Troubleshoot and debug code to resolve technical issues and optimize application performance.
• Present technical designs to peers and Product Owners for approval.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of hands-on development experience.
• Strong coding proficiency in COBOL, JCL, VSAM, and DB2.
• Experience with Mainframe Utilities.
• Working knowledge of CICS and MQ series.
• Ability to gather requirements and design technical specifications.
• Strong analytical skills for independent code analysis.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Java and JSON-LD.
