Description

You will lead a development team in executing the delivery pipeline for software products from development through to production.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of developers in the execution of the development pipeline and delivery of software products to QA and Production.
• Manage day-to-day activities and influence team members to follow agile software development practices.
• Interface with product owners and stakeholders in Project Management, Business, QA, and Technology Operations to ensure high-quality delivery on time and budget.
• Work with Scrum Masters and product owners to provide development sizing, cost analysis, and estimates.
• Decompose stories, design features, and prioritize tasks alongside team members.
• Utilize automated software test tools and frameworks, such as test driven development, to achieve quality standards.
• Support integration efforts, release assembly, and process improvements.
• Provide hands-on development and mentoring to team members.
• Identify technology risks early and establish mitigation plans.
• Create project artifacts including Software Architecture documentation, Technical Use Cases, and Code Review Packages.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of professional experience building mainframe applications using COBOL.
• COBOL, CICS, and DB2.
• Basic IBM OS/Z and SQL.
• JCL and MQ.
• XML, Java, or .NET.
• Any Graduate degree.

Preferred Skills

• Deep experience with VSAM, ISPF, MVS, and Websphere MQ.
• Familiarity with Rational Application Developer and TFS / Jira.
• Experience with web services (SOAP, REST).
• Experience with Agile Development Practices, particularly Scrum.
