Description

You will lead a development team through the software delivery pipeline from initial design to production deployment.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of developers in executing the delivery pipeline for software products to QA and Production.
• Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to decompose stories, design features, and provide sizing and cost estimates.
• Manage day-to-day activities and support agile software development practices within the team.
• Provide hands-on development, mentoring, and code reviews for onshore and offshore developers.
• Create technical artifacts including software architecture documentation, technical use cases, and code review packages.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of professional experience building Mainframe applications.
• Expertise in COBOL.
• Proficiency with CICS, DB2, and SQL.
• Experience with JCL and MQ.
• Working knowledge of Basic IBM OS/Z.
• Ability to use automated software test tools and frameworks like test-driven development.
• Experience supporting integration efforts across various subsystems.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with VSAM, ISPF, MVS, and Websphere MQ.
• Familiarity with Rational Application Developer, TFS, or Jira.
• Knowledge of web services (SOAP, REST), XML, Java, or .Net.
