Description

You will lead a development team through the full software delivery pipeline from initial design to production deployment.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Lead team activities and mentor developers through hands-on coding and code reviews.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders to decompose stories, design features, and provide sizing and cost estimates.
• Drive agile software development practices and assist the Scrum Master in resolving team roadblocks.
• Manage technical risks by identifying them early and establishing mitigation plans.
• Produce technical artifacts including software architecture documentation, use cases, and code review packages.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of professional experience building mainframe applications.
• Proficiency in COBOL, CICS, and DB2.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and JCL.
• Experience with Basic IBM OS/Z.
• Ability to support integration efforts across various subsystems.
• Experience using automated software test tools and test-driven development.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Web Services (SOAP, REST) and XML.
• Background in Java or .NET.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
