Description

Design, develop, test, and maintain applications for banking and payments processing.

Responsibilities

• Develop applications using middleware technologies including MQ, messaging, batch, and web services (REST/SOAP).
• Manage synchronous and asynchronous communication patterns, including message sequencing, correlation, and queuing.
• Implement security, logging, auditing, policy management, and performance monitoring protocols.
• Collaborate with architects, PMs, business stakeholders, and testers across multiple technology delivery teams.
• Provide technical guidance and perform code reviews for less experienced associates.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in application development, testing, and maintenance.
• Mainframe and COBOL development experience.
• Core Java and J2EE expertise.
• Strong RDBMS experience with Oracle, SQL, and database objects.
• Proficiency in UNIX and Linux environments using bash and Perl.
• Middleware experience with JBoss and MQ.
• Experience with APIs and web services (REST/SOAP).
• Domain knowledge in banking and payments, specifically WIRE processing (FED/CHIPS/SWIFT/ISO20022).
• Understanding of SDLC, Agile, and DevOps methodologies.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Splunk, AppDynamics, AutoSys, Prognosis, or UPF.
• Knowledge of AIX and Python programming.
• Familiarity with Money Transfer Systems (MTS) and clearing house compliance.
