Description

Lead technical efforts for large-scale support and enhancement projects on z/OS and MVS platforms.

Responsibilities

• Manage incident, problem, and change request processes in a stakeholder-driven environment.
• Analyze on-prem mainframe applications and data stores to formulate modernization plans for legacy workloads.
• Integrate mainframe systems with distributed Linux or Windows-based x86 servers.
• Execute batch processing tasks and provide inputs for batch scheduling.
• Apply assessment techniques to derive modernization solutions for legacy customers.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of experience in a technical lead role.
• Deep expertise in COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, and VSAM.
• Proficiency with TSO, ISPF, XPEDITOR, QMF, FILEAID, and SORT utilities.
• Experience with CA7 scheduler and version control tools like ChangeMan or Endeavor.
• Strong knowledge of SQL databases, including Oracle and SQL Server.
• Proven ability to integrate mainframe systems with non-x86 legacy and distributed systems.
• Experience working with large-scale support and enhancement projects.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of Agile software development and DevOps.
