Description

You will own mainframe hardware configurations, operating system maintenance, and system upgrades to meet service level agreements.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute hardware and software system upgrades, configuration changes, and capacity planning.
• Provide Tier 3 operational support to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex hardware and software outages.
• Automate manual system tasks and operations to improve overall system and application performance.
• Execute installation jobs, scripts, and customization tasks while integration-testing new products with existing applications.
• Maintain documentation for policies, procedures, and system-wide performance tuning.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in mainframe systems engineering.
• Expertise in hardware configuration and system operations.
• Proven track record in performance tuning of systems and applications.
• Proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server.
• Experience troubleshooting proxy servers and firewalls across multiple platforms.
• Ability to assess IT risks, dependencies, and conflicts.
• Experience conducting integration testing and evaluating IT vendor products.

Preferred Skills

• Experience managing records within ServiceNow for Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
