Description

You will develop, enhance, and maintain applications on the IBM i (AS/400) platform.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and implement solutions.
• Develop, debug, and optimize code using COBOL and SQL on the IBM i platform.
• Support daily batch processing, job monitoring, and operational troubleshooting.
• Perform code reviews, testing, and performance tuning for existing applications.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including program specs and interface diagrams.

Required Skills

• 5+ years developing on the IBM i / AS/400 platform.
• Expert proficiency in COBOL for iSeries and Mainframe COBOL.
• Strong proficiency in AS/400 and SQL/400.
• Experience with COBOL/400, ILE COBOL, CL/CLLE, and DB2/400.
• Experience with PDM, SEU, RDi (or similar IDE), and IBM i system utilities.
• Solid understanding of batch job processing, scheduling tools, and job logs.
• Strong analytical and debugging skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with complex data modeling and stored procedures in DB2/400.
