Description

You own the design, configuration, and maintenance of mainframe operating environments.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and maintain mainframe operating environments, including z/OS, JES2, and z/VM.
• Implement and maintain mainframe security measures, including RACF, access controls, and encryption.
• Lead mainframe operating system projects, from upgrades and enhancements through to operational support.
• Optimize mainframe operating system performance, capacity, and resource utilization.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex mainframe operating system issues across internal teams and vendors.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience designing, implementing, and maintaining mainframe platforms.
• Strong knowledge of mainframe security concepts and tools, specifically RACF.
• Proficiency in mainframe performance monitoring and tuning using SMF, RMF, BMC AMI OPS, and IBM Intellimagic Vision.
• Demonstrated ability to design, build, and support Parallel Sysplex application enablement.
• Experience providing technical leadership for managed service providers and offshore support teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and analyze complex system issues.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with IBM Intellimagic Vision.
