Description

You will develop and maintain core applications on the mainframe platform, managing business logic, batch processing, and transaction systems.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain core mainframe applications using COBOL.
• Write and manage JCL scripts for batch job execution.
• Implement transaction processing logic using IMS/DB and IMS/DC.
• Design and support CICS functionalities and interfaces.
• Perform basic mainframe system administration tasks, including dataset management.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of professional experience in mainframe environments.
• Strong proficiency in COBOL programming.
• In-depth knowledge of the z/OS operating system.
• Expertise in IMS database concepts, specifically IMS/DB and IMS/DC.
• Thorough understanding of CICS functionalities and programming interfaces.
• Ability to write and manage JCL scripts for batch processing.
• Familiarity with mainframe system administration tasks.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with additional mainframe subsystems or utilities.
