Description

Manage and support IMS database environments in a high-availability enterprise setting.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain IMS database types including Full Function, Fast Path, and HALDB.
• Perform database administration activities such as definition, allocation, and dataset management.
• Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance.
• Collaborate with application development, system programmers, and operations teams to ensure database integrity.
• Troubleshoot database abends, data corruption, and integrity issues.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of DBA experience supporting IMS databases in a z/OS environment.
• Strong knowledge of IMS database types, utilities, and maintenance activities.
• Hands-on experience with IMS utilities, backup and recovery, and performance tuning.
• Experience with Sysplexed Data Sharing.
• Familiarity with JCL, TSO/ISPF, SDSF, and REXX.
• Proficiency in batch and online IMS environments.
• Any Graduate education.
