Description

You will design, develop, and troubleshoot mainframe software solutions, ensuring production code meets strict design constraints and security standards.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain secure, high-quality production code for synchronous systems.
• Produce design artifacts for complex applications while ensuring code quality.
• Identify data patterns to improve coding hygiene and system architecture.
• Execute technical troubleshooting and system design to resolve complex issues.
• Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and technical events.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering and application development.
• Hands-on experience with Mainframe Assembler programming, IMS, and DB2.
• Proficiency with modern programming languages and database querying languages.
• Practical experience with CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
• Experience using DevOps tools including Ansible, Docker, GitHub, Jenkins, Kubernetes, and SonarQube.
• Working knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
• Degree or formal training in software engineering concepts.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to cloud technologies.
• Familiarity with Logging, Observability, and Monitoring tools.
