Description

You will design, develop, and troubleshoot software solutions within a mainframe environment, producing technical artifacts for complex applications and maintaining production code.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop secure, high-quality production code using Mainframe Assembler, IMS, and DB2.
• Maintain synchronous algorithms and debug code within a large corporate environment.
• Identify data patterns to improve coding hygiene and system architecture.
• Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and technical events.
• Ensure operational stability and application resiliency.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering.
• Hands-on experience with Mainframe Assembler programming, IMS, and DB2.
• Proficiency in modern programming languages and database querying languages.
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
• Experience with DevOps tools including Ansible, Docker, GitHub, Jenkins, and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
• Practical experience in system design, application development, and testing.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to cloud technologies and knowledge of technical processes in cloud, AI, ML, or mobile.
• Familiarity with logging, observability, and monitoring tools.
