Description

You will manage and optimize mainframe infrastructure components, focusing on connectivity, middleware, and security provisioning.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Build, configure, and troubleshoot zOSConnect (zOSC/zCEE) on the mainframe.
• Manage WebSphere Application Server (WAS) architecture, including performance testing, monitoring, operations, and security compliance.
• Design and plan network engineering, connectivity, and security provisioning.
• Communicate complex technical findings and hardware architecture performance metrics to management.
• Apply server-side design patterns and continuous delivery principles to infrastructure workflows.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in infrastructure or software development roles.
• Strong knowledge of zOSConnect/zCEE and WebSphere Application Server (WAS).
• Proficiency in Java and TCP/IP, including Certificates, AT-TLS, Keyring, and Keystore.
• Experience with USS (Unix System Services).
• Software development experience in one or more: Python, Java, C, C++, Go, JCL, REXX, PERL, PHP, or JYTHON.
• Advanced experience in two or more: web application development, databases, Unix/Linux, distributed systems, networking, or security software development.
• Understanding of Agile and Lean philosophies.
• BS/BA degree or equivalent experience.
