Description

Manage and optimize z/OS mainframe infrastructure environments.

Responsibilities

  • Identify technical risks to planned system upgrades and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Review system upgrades and enhancements to recommend improvements to management.
  • Analyze and resolve complex system problems.
  • Support audits by managing baseline security configurations and key management.

Required Skills

  • 8+ years of experience in mainframe environments.
  • Deep knowledge of z/OS architectures and z/OS internals.
  • Proficiency with JCL, CICS, SQL, DB2, IMS, VSAM, XML, and TSO/ISPF.
  • Experience with IBM Mainframe Systems.
  • Knowledge of mainframe security, specifically pervasive encryption.
  • Understanding of governance and controls related to BSCs and key management.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent graduate level education.

Preferred Skills

  • Hands-on experience with IBM zSecure and the Carla language for customization.
  • Experience managing vendor migrations.
