Description

Lead the design, development, and implementation of mainframe applications while managing technical teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own the full application lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, debugging, and stabilization.
• Manage implementation planning, coordination, and technical decision-making in collaboration with Business Analysts and SMEs.
• Conduct code reviews and execute unit, system, regression, integration, performance, and volume testing.
• Develop detailed project plans, accurate estimates, and database/disaster recovery strategies.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in mainframe application development.
• Expertise in COBOL, DB2, VSAM, and JCL.
• Mandatory experience with CICS and Assemble.
• Proficiency with Zeke, File Aid, ChangeMan, and Abend-Aid.
• Experience working with Coolgen and IMS.
• Strong analytical, coding, and technical leadership skills.

Preferred Skills

• Ability to manage complex technical implementations and stakeholder communications.
