Description

Manage mainframe operations and privileged access while adhering to strict security and operational policies. You will own the release pipeline and system health monitoring for z/OS environments.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Execute privileged Mainframe access and follow rigorous security and operational protocols.
• Manage end-to-end workloads using Tivoli Workload Scheduler 9.3 or above.
• Monitor system health and batch execution using industry-standard command line tools and hardware consoles.
• Create and improve technical procedural documentation for operational workflows.
• Communicate technical updates and status to customers and stakeholders.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in mainframe operations.
• Expertise in Tivoli Workload Scheduler 9.3+ and event-based scheduling.
• Experience with CA-11 (CA Workload Automation Restart Option for z/OS Schedulers).
• Operational knowledge of Mainframe z/OS, TSO commands, Console, JCL, and Batch Execution.
• Complete familiarity with the IBM Master Console interface and Job Entry Subsystem (JES) commands.
• Proficiency with at least two monitoring tools: Omegamon, Sysview, Netview, Focalpoint, or Tivoli Enterprise Portal.
• Familiarity with CICS, file control (allocation/deallocation), and controlling system tasks via IBM System Automation or CA Ops MVS.
• Experience with Service-Now, Skype, Zoom, and Windows toolsets.
• Strong proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Outlook.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of IBM Z Mainframe, z/OS, and OS/390 Operations.
• JCL and batch problem diagnostic skills.
• Experience with Data Transfer protocols (NDM, FTP).
