Description

You will lead software migration projects for clients on the IBM Z platform, managing scope, cost, schedule, and contractual deliverables.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end project management for IBM Z software migration projects, including planning, execution, and tracking.
• Consult with management to define project goals, timeframes, funding limitations, and resource allocation.
• Report on project activities, scope changes, and risks to leadership to align implementers and decision-makers.
• Monitor and improve program best practices, focusing on client account effectiveness and process quality.
• Communicate ongoing status, milestones, and risks to internal management and customers.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of technical project management experience.
• PMP or PRINCE2 certification.
• IBM Z Mainframe experience and familiarity with IBM Z software products.
• Experience with ISV product replacement using IBM products.
• Strong skills in planning, tracking, change control, and risk management.
• Experience managing cross-functional technical teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with application development on IBM Z, including Cobol or PL/1.
