Description

You lead software migration projects for clients on the IBM Z platform.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end software migration projects, defining goals, timelines, and resource allocation.
• Review project proposals and assess funding limitations to determine procedural feasibility.
• Report on project activities, scope changes, and risks to leadership to maintain strategic alignment.
• Analyze existing processes to identify efficiency improvements and drive implementation.
• Monitor program best practices to ensure continual quality improvement for client accounts.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of technical project management experience.
• PMP or PRINCE2 certification.
• IBM Z Mainframe experience and knowledge of IBM Z software products.
• Experience managing cross-functional technical teams with responsibility for scope, cost, and schedule.
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to organize competing priorities.
• Experience with ISV product replacement with IBM products.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Application development on IBM Z using Cobol or PL/1.
