Description

You will administer mainframe workload scheduling tools and lead migrations from legacy systems to modern platforms.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Administer IZWS, IBM Z Workload Scheduler, Tivoli Workload Scheduler (TWS), ESP, OPC, OMA, and DWC.
• Plan, validate, and execute scheduler migration activities using OMA and CPC tools.
• Troubleshoot production scheduling issues, including job failures, dependency conflicts, and calendar errors.
• Coordinate with infrastructure and vendor teams to resolve technical blockers and ensure batch SLAs.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in Mainframe Administration and Workload Scheduling.
• Hands-on expertise with IZWS, IBM Z Workload Scheduler, and TWS.
• Strong knowledge of OPC (Operations Planning and Control) and ESP Workload Automation on z/OS.
• Practical experience with OMA (OPC Migration Aid) for migration activities.
• Proficiency in IBM Integration Bus v10 and enterprise system administration.
• Ability to analyze predecessor-successor relationships and scheduling dependencies.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with DWC (Dynamic Workload Console) for monitoring and management.
• IBM Certified Mainframe Administrator.
