You will manage and maintain IBM MQ environments on z/OS platforms.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Administer, monitor, and maintain IBM Mainframe MQ on z/OS, including configurations, installations, patching, and upgrades.
• Create and manage MQ objects such as queues, channels, and listeners.
• Monitor message flows, dead-letter queues, and channel connectivity to troubleshoot root causes.
• Analyze MQ logs and trace data to optimize system performance, throughput, and latency.
• Respond to incidents and implement corrective actions as part of an on-call rotation.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in mainframe environments.
• Direct experience supporting IBM MQ on z/OS.
• Strong understanding of core IBM MQ concepts: Queue Managers, Queues, Channels, Clustering, Publish/Subscribe, and Security.
• Proficiency with z/OS tools: JCL, ISPF, SDSF, and SMP/E.
• Knowledge of middleware integration across distributed and mainframe environments.
• Experience with enterprise monitoring tools such as Omegamon or Tivoli.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve MQ system performance issues.

Preferred Skills

• Experience managing complex MQ configurations and upgrades.
