Description

You will manage the installation, migration, and maintenance of IBM MQ and related products within a mainframe environment.

Responsibilities

• Execute MQ system performance tuning and continuous monitoring.
• Configure and set up QSG, CFSTRUCT, SMDS, and Group objects including qlocal, channel, Qremote, and Process definitions.
• Review implementation procedures and provide recommendations for product releases and system upgrades.
• Perform problem determination and interface directly with IBM support groups.
• Manage disaster recovery procedures and participate in testing.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in MQ administration and Mainframe CICS administration.
• Proficiency with SMP/E, HOLDDATA, early codes, and managing Zones/Libraries and System libraries.
• Strong understanding of z/OS functions including APF, LINKLIST, LPA, and VSAM.
• Experience using IBM Tivoli Omegamon XE, IBM MQ Explorer, and MQ Visual Edit.
• Knowledge of MQAUSX v3.5 (Capitalware) and Sysview.
• Working knowledge of ACF2 Security.
• Understanding of application interaction patterns with MQ.
