Description

You will own performance tuning and optimization for Mainframe Message Queuing (MQ) systems.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Tune MQ Bufferpool and Pageset configurations to optimize queue placement.
• Analyze MQ Queue depth trends to determine necessary resizing.
• Develop MQ operational reports using JPM tools and Cognos.
• Monitor MQ performance metrics and implement optimization strategies.

Required Skills

• 10 years of relevant experience in Mainframe MQ engineering.
• Expertise in Bufferpool Tuning.
• Proficiency in Pageset Tuning.
• Experience with MQ Queue depth analysis and trending.
• Knowledge of Cognos for reporting.
• Experience using JPM tools for MQ monitoring.
• Strong understanding of Mainframe MQ architecture and performance bottlenecks.
