Description

You administer and support IBM Mainframe z/OS network environments, ensuring reliable communication between mainframe and distributed systems.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain TCP/IP stacks, VTAM, SNA, OSA Express, and Enterprise Extender.
• Troubleshoot complex network connectivity and performance issues.
• Implement network security controls, SSL/TLS certificates, RACF integration, and encryption protocols.
• Support mainframe connectivity with distributed systems, cloud environments, and external partners.
• Perform disaster recovery planning and network resiliency testing.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in z/OS networking.
• Deep expertise in TCP/IP configuration and stacks.
• Proficiency with VTAM and SNA protocols.
• Experience with OSA Express and Enterprise Extender.
• Knowledge of mainframe security protocols and RACF integration.
• Ability to monitor network performance and capacity planning.
• Strong documentation skills for network architecture and operational procedures.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with network migrations, upgrades, and modernization initiatives.
• Collaboration experience with infrastructure, security, and storage teams.
