Description

Monitor mainframe systems and manage Level 1 incidents to ensure optimal performance and service availability.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Monitor mainframe control consoles and infrastructure health for optimal performance.
• Manage Level 1 incidents through triage, escalation, and resolution tracking.
• Review and validate Job Control Language (JCL) scripts for operational tasks.
• Collaborate with internal IT teams, customers, and vendors to resolve issues.
• Utilize monitoring tools to track system availability and connectivity.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in mainframe operations or similar technical roles.
• Hands-on experience with IBM Mainframe systems.
• Proficiency with monitoring tools such as What’s Up Gold, Pingdom, or PRTG.
• Basic understanding of JCL (Job Control Language).
• Knowledge of incident management processes and tools.
• Strong communication and coordination skills using Microsoft Teams.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working in rotational shifts covering holidays, weekends, and nights.
