Description

You will own the analysis and tuning of mainframe applications for performance and capacity.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Analyse performance for batch and online applications to identify tuning opportunities.
• Provide actionable tuning recommendations to Application Development organizations.
• Guide development teams in implementing tuning changes and track progress proactively.
• Create and present performance reports and metrics with efficiency recommendations.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in mainframe performance management.
• Strong knowledge of DB2, CICS, COBOL, MQ, JCL, and Syncsort.
• Expertise in programming and performance tuning of Online and Batch applications.
• Experience with performance management tools: DB2 Explain, RMFMON 3, Strobe, APA, CICS Performance Analyzer, Omegamon.
• Strong knowledge of SMF record types and sub-types.
• Ability to drive proactive performance management.
• Experience reporting using Excel and other reporting tools.
• Prior experience as a Mainframe System Programmer or in capacity planning.
