Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain COBOL, JCL, and CICS modules to meet business requirements.
• Manage a team of 15+ offshore consultants on mainframe development projects.
• Provide SME-level guidance across the SDLC, including requirements, functional specs, design, integration, testing, and deployment.
• Analyze business functions and data discrepancies to identify solutions leveraging both mainframe and distributed platforms.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in mainframe development.
• Expertise in COBOL, JCL, and CICS modules.
• Proven experience managing development within an onshore-offshore model.
• Deep understanding of the SDLC, including requirements, design, custom development, and deployment.
• Experience with industry-standard source control systems.
• Ability to produce extensive documentation with high attention to detail.
• Experience working with global teams across IT, Ops, and Business units.

Preferred Skills

• Conduct code reviews with other team leads and mentor junior developers.
