Description

You manage and execute mainframe development and operations for healthcare claims processing workflows.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements for the ACAS domain and translate business needs into technical specifications.
• Design, develop, test, and debug mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2, and CICS.
• Optimize existing mainframe programs for performance and troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Coordinate daily activities between onsite and offshore development teams and mentor technical leads.
• Support UAT and production deployment activities while maintaining quality standards.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in mainframe development.
• Proficiency in COBOL, DB2, CICS, JCL, VSAM, and Z/OS.
• In-depth knowledge of IBM mainframe tools: ISPF, TSO, File-aid, and SCM.
• Experience with healthcare claims processing systems and workflows.
• Experience migrating Mainframe code from development to production environments.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• Ability to perform requirement analysis and create technical documentation.

Preferred Skills

• Experience supporting UAT and production deployment activities.
