Description

Design, code, test, and maintain complex mainframe applications while guiding technical staff through change impact analysis and complex problem solving.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop, debug, and modify high-complexity computer programs and define project timeframes and costs.
• Design basic and detailed program specifications, ensuring application performance standards and interface configurations.
• Integrate and refine development and test environment tools, including unit test plans and testing processes.
• Investigate and solve complex, multidisciplinary business problems while monitoring system operating efficiency.
• Collaborate across the software development lifecycle, from design and development to release management and testing.

Required Skills

• 10 to 15 years of experience in COBOL, JCL, and DB2.
• 7+ years of experience developing and implementing applications.
• Strong knowledge of DB2 database and debugging skills.
• Understanding of the software development life cycle and Agile development experience.
• Experience with implementation and release management activities.
• Proficiency in writing technical designs and documenting technical functions.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with CICS, VSAM, Endevor, FileManager, CA7, IDZ, GITLAB, and TSO Development.
• MQ knowledge and experience with large transaction-based systems.
• Good understanding of third-party dependency management and transitive dependency issues.
