Description

You will maintain and enhance Mainframe applications for Medicaid services, focusing on COBOL and ADS programs within IDMS database environments. This role involves debugging, testing, and collaborating with QA and internal teams to deliver stable software updates.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Implement coding changes to COBOL and ADS programs using IDMS Network or Relational Databases based on technical specifications.
• Debug, unit test, and perform integration testing for all code modifications.
• Support Quality Assurance and User Acceptance Testing by resolving defects and making necessary adjustments.
• Collaborate with Clemson-based staff and external contractors to ensure clear communication and project alignment.
• Participate in a rotational on-call schedule to support system stability.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience with Mainframe environments.
• 10+ years of experience with MVS COBOL.
• 10+ years of experience with IDMS.
• 10+ years of experience with CA-ADS.
• 5+ years of experience with JCL.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Changeman, File-Aid, Footprints, or SAS.
• Prior experience with SC Medicaid systems.
