Description

You will develop, automate, and support core mainframe applications, leading teams to implement scalable solutions and optimize performance.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Define and develop scalable application solutions within the mainframe environment.
• Lead interactive teams in implementing mainframe application features.
• Perform mainframe performance tuning and capacity planning to optimize resource usage.
• Utilize specialized tools for file handling, version control, debugging, and job scheduling.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in mainframe application development (or 3+ years with a Master's degree).
• Expertise in COBOL, CICS, DB2, JCL, VSAM, MQ-Series, and SQL.
• Proven ability in mainframe performance tuning, specifically reducing I/Os, CPU Time, MSUs, and MIPs.
• Proficiency with Strobe, iStrobe, and Platinum Detector for performance analysis.
• Experience with development tools including File-AID, Endeavor, Intertest, and Abend-AID.
• Experience with job scheduling tools such as Control-M.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with ETL, Informatica, Java, or Python.
