Description

You will manage and maintain DB2 databases on IBM System Z mainframes.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and implement standards, naming conventions, and ongoing deployment for a multi-data center DB2 environment, including disaster recovery and high availability.
• Lead the adoption or implementation of advanced technology or platforms.
• Serve as a consultant to clients, guiding efficient use or adoption of IT products.
• Create implementation, testing, and/or integration plans for DB2 roll-outs.
• Provide technical support to application and data center staff.

Required Skills

• 16+ years of experience managing and maintaining DB2 databases on IBM System Z mainframes.
• Extensive experience with the installation, support, and roll-out of DB2 components and BMC Tools and Utilities.
• Complete familiarity with z/OS, TSO/ISPF, and IBM utilities.
• Experience with SMP/E and Sysplex environments.
• Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field or equivalent experience.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with DB2 integration with WLM.
• Familiarity with Oracle, SQL, z/VM, Linux, or MVS systems.
• Familiarity with the BMC MainView monitoring tool.
