Description

You will develop and maintain mainframe applications by translating design documents into structured programs.

Responsibilities

• Translate analysis and design specifications into well-structured COBOL programs.
• Maintain custom software by modifying user data entry screens, batch processing, reports, and queries.
• Execute program changes, update test files, and verify correctness against requirements.
• Assist with the conversion of COBOL applications to web-based applications.
• Prepare program-level and user-level documentation to support the software development lifecycle.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in COBOL development on Mainframe.
• Proven experience with JCL, DB2, and Control-M.
• Strong proficiency in JCL development and maintenance.
• Solid understanding of the full software development life cycle (SDLC).
• Ability to troubleshoot, test, and debug software to meet requirements.
• Experience correcting data errors and developing data analysis/summary reports.
• Capability to follow formal procedures for source code management and change migration.

Preferred Skills

• Java programming knowledge.
• Hands-on experience with AWS.
• Postgres DB and Kofax experience.
