You will manage complex mainframe projects from initiation through delivery, ensuring alignment with scope, timelines, and budgets.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Develop project plans, define scope, and manage resources across the full project lifecycle.
• Oversee project execution and drive process improvements using change management best practices.
• Conduct risk assessments, develop mitigation strategies, and manage vendor relationships.
• Manage stakeholder expectations, maintain communication channels, and address technical concerns.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of project management experience.
• Advanced proficiency in zOS and AS400 mainframe operating systems.
• Strong working knowledge of COBOL, JCL, and REXX.
• Proficiency in ITIL principles.
• Experience managing large-scale projects, project budgets, and cost optimization.
• Strong team leadership skills to guide technical teams.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with DB2, IMS, Oracle, or MySQL database management.
