Description

You will own the quality assurance for mainframe-based healthcare applications, ensuring the accuracy of claims, eligibility, and member data systems.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Execute manual functional, system, regression, and UAT testing for mainframe healthcare applications.
• Translate healthcare business requirements into detailed test cases and scenarios.
• Validate batch processing, online transactions, and data feeds using DB2 and SQL.
• Identify, log, and track defects through resolution in collaboration with developers and business analysts.
• Prepare test execution reports and defect metrics while ensuring HIPAA-compliant data handling.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of Mainframe QA and testing experience.
• Hands-on proficiency with COBOL, JCL, CICS, and VSAM.
• Strong SQL skills for data validation and DB2 interaction.
• Experience in the healthcare domain, specifically Claims, Enrollment, Eligibility, Provider, and Member systems.
• Experience with batch and online transaction testing.
• Familiarity with ALM, Quality Center, or JIRA for defect tracking.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and compliance standards.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working in Agile or Waterfall environments.
• Ability to work directly with healthcare Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
