Description

Perform manual testing of mainframe healthcare applications to ensure quality, accuracy, and HIPAA compliance.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Analyze healthcare business requirements and translate them into test cases and scenarios for claims, eligibility, and enrollment.
• Execute functional, system, regression, and UAT testing for mainframe-based systems.
• Validate batch processing, online transactions, and data feeds using DB2 and SQL.
• Identify, log, and track defects through resolution, collaborating with developers and business analysts.
• Prepare test execution reports and defect metrics.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of Mainframe QA or testing experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with COBOL, JCL, CICS, and VSAM.
• Proficient in SQL for data validation and DB2.
• Experience testing claims processing, eligibility, provider, and member data.
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and compliant data handling.
• Experience working in Agile or Waterfall environments.
• Proficiency with test management tools like ALM, Quality Center, or JIRA.

Preferred Skills

• Direct healthcare domain experience in healthcare operations.
