Description

You will lead the analysis, coding, testing, and maintenance of application software within a mainframe environment. You partner with senior developers and architects to identify business needs and design technical solutions, documenting requirements and producing prototypes. You participate in 7x24 on-call system support on a shift basis and troubleshoot customer issues for existing business systems.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, code, test, and maintain application software written in Assembler, COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2, MQ, and CICS.
  • Design and document technical requirements for business applications and produce suitable prototypes.
  • Partner with senior developers and architects to identify business needs and design technical solutions.
  • Troubleshoot customer issues and support existing business systems applications.
  • Participate in 7x24 on-call system support on a shift basis.

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in mainframe development and implementation.
  • Expert knowledge of Mainframe Assembler and COBOL.
  • Proficiency with CICS, MVS, JCL, and VSAM.
  • Experience with DB2 and ISPF.
  • Hands-on experience with Broadcom/CA Intertest or similar debugging applications.
  • Mandatory knowledge of BFS domain and Application Modernization.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to internal and external stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

  • Java development experience.
  • BFS domain experience.
