Description

You will develop and maintain software within Z/OS Mainframe environments, ensuring system stability and performance.

Responsibilities

• Develop applications using COBOL, REXX, CLIST, JCL, and SQL.
• Analyze root causes for batch job failures and implement corrective actions.
• Evaluate the impact of database schema changes on existing software components.
• Participate in peer reviews of project artifacts and maintain technical documentation.
• Research technical problems independently or collaboratively to provide solutions.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience with COBOL, JCL, and REXX.
• Solid experience in Z/OS Mainframe development.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases, DB2, and non-relational mainframe storage technology.
• Proficiency with High Availability and Disaster Recovery.
• Experience with Linux Performance Tuning.
• Exposure to automated unit testing, TDD, and BDD.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US Public Trust clearance.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent relevant experience).

Preferred Skills

• Experience with File Aid/RDX.
• Proficiency with Java and Python.
