You will develop and maintain mainframe software and automation processes within a Z/OS environment.
Responsibilities
Develop software code and JCL following defined standards and engineering best practices.
Automate mainframe batch JCL generation and job scheduling through collaboration with technical experts.
Analyze root causes for batch job failures and implement timely corrective actions.
Participate in peer reviews of project artifacts and technical design meetings.
Provide technical guidance to junior and mid-level developers and maintain project documentation.
Required Skills
Strong experience with Z/OS Mainframe development, specifically REXX and ISPF Dialog Manager.
Proficiency in JCL and Control-M.
Experience using mainframe utilities including IEBGENER, IEBCOPY, and IEBUPDATE.
Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills for batch job failures.
Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of experience in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field, or a Master's degree with 2+ years of related experience.
Effective verbal and written communication skills for technical briefings and customer relations.
Preferred Skills
Experience with modern development tools and languages including Java and/or Python.
